Intro to Archery & Whittling
Tuesdays, Sept 26-Oct 31, 2023, 4:00-5:30pm

Learn basic safety protocols for archery and whittling (carving with a knife). In archery, learn the parts of the bow and arrow, proper stance, grip, and aim. In whittling, learn correct posture and technique, and create a few simple projects. All necessary materials will be provided.
Participants: children ages 8-12; 16 students maximum enrollment.
Registration is required.

Fee: $138 for 6 weeks
Intermediate Wilderness Survival
Thursdays, Sept 28-Nov 9, 2023, 4:00-5:30pm

Take the next steps toward wilderness survival: learn more about foraging edible and medicinal plants, build cooking campfires, learn field first aid, whittle a wooden knife, build shelters from natural materials, learn how to find and collect drinkable water, and learn useful knots for keeping your food caches safe from wild animals. Bring your resourcefulness and your sense of fun. Prerequisites: Intro to Wilderness Survival, camping experience, OR Camp Katniss.
Participants: children ages 10-15; 16 students maximum enrollment.
Registration is required.

Fee: $161 for 7 weeks

Children living in local zip codes who meet the financial requirements are entitled to a scholarship or sliding scale fee. Please get approval from the Education Director before selecting the scholarship rate.
