Upcoming After-School Programs:

Intro to Archery & Wilderness Survival

Tuesdays, March 12-April 30, 2024, 4:00-5:30pm

Learn basic safety protocols for archery and wilderness survival. In archery, learn the parts of the bow and arrow, proper stance, grip, and aim. In wilderness survival, learn whittling, shelter building, fire building, field first aid, and foraging.

Participants: children ages 8-12; 16 students maximum
Registration is required.

Fee: $184 for 8 weeks

Natural Wisdom

Wednesdays, March 13-May 1, 2024, 4:00-5:30pm

Are you interested in how we used to live before electricity and the internet? If so, this class on off-grid living is for you! In this class we will create a collaborative paper-making quilt, bind our own books, and learn about natural resources, energy, and sustainable recipes.

Participants: children ages 7-12; 16 students maximum
Registration is required.

Outdoor & Wilderness Leadership Skills (OWLS)

Thursdays, March 14-May 2, 2023, 4:30-6:30pm

Get Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification, learn active listening skills, conflict management, how to create a safe emotional environment for children, emergency preparedness, how to lead games, and basic outdoor and wilderness survival skills. Teens will create a résumé, find job references, and have several practice job interviews. They will then be invited to apply for a paid Counselor-in-Training (CIT) position at our summer camps.

Participants: teens ages 13-18; 12 students maximum enrollment.
Registration is required.

Fee: $220 for 8 weeks (fee includes Red Cross certification)

Click the button on the left to register for an after-school program. If you think you might qualify for a reduced fee, click the “Apply for a scholarship” button. Children living in local zip codes who meet the financial requirements are entitled to a scholarship or sliding scale fee. Please get approval from the Education Director before selecting the scholarship rate. If you have already gotten approval in the past 12 months, there is no need to apply again: you are pre-approved for a scholarship.
