Each month, a team of committed citizen scientists — or “Streamkeepers” — will gather valuable data that will help monitor the water quality in the Wingohocking Creek. The primary goal of this monitoring is to measure the impact of our newly completed pond and wetlands restoration project. Families and individuals are welcome to be ‘the eyes and ears’ of Awbury’s section of the Tookany/Takony-Frankford Watershed. There will be hands-on water related activities for children.
Interested in joining the Streamkeepers team? On March 20th we are hosting training presentations at 10:30 and 11:00 AM.
We are limiting each time slot to 10 registrations, but you may register as an individual or as a family/party of multiple people.
Streamkeepers at Awbury will be led by Ryan Neuman, Upstream Conservation Leader at Tookany/Takony-Frankford Watershed Partnership.
Location: park on East Washington Lane and meet along the creek bed at The Farm at Awbury.
Cost: FREE; registration is required
Please note: Face masks are required. No restrooms are available at this time.
