Bring an empty 2- or 3-liter soda bottle**, and Community Gardener Leo Cooper will show you and your child how to build a terrarium.
Recommend for ages 5 – 12. You will be provided with 4 plants, gardening material, and care instructions.

**Please bring an empty, clear 2-or 3-liter soda bottle with smooth sides. (Not larger that 3 liters.) It can be from any kind of soda or drink but should look similar to the pictured here. It is best if it has a lid. Please wash your container out in hot soapy water and dry it well to provide the best environment for your plants.
Leo Cooper is the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Philly Green Committee Chair and a member. She is an avid gardener and has been gardening since she was a child. Leo is a Master Gardener out of Oregon State and is the President of the Indoor Plant Society of the Delaware Valley. She is also a member of The Community Garden Club of Awbury, Phila. Cactus and Succulent Society, the America Begonia Society, and the Liberty Bell chapter of Gesneriad Society as well as a Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge Counselor on horticulture. Leo enters, passes, judges, and is a speaker at the Philadelphia Flower Show, and she provides horticultural programming to seniors and her community.
