Can I Eat a Tree? First learn to do some easy tree identification based on the shape, number, and placement of its leaves. Then find out what things trees give us that are good to eat. An apple tree has apples, but what can we eat from a pine tree? A sassafras tree? A spicebush? A maple tree? Be ready to taste some recognizable and some new foods.
