Bring your family to Awbury Arboretum on Saturday, May 1st between 10:30 and 1:30 and spend a few hours observing nature and participating in the City Nature Challenge. Awbury staff will be on hand to answer questions and show you how to use the iNaturalist app if you are new to it. (Note: We recommend downloading the iNaturalist app in advance.) You do not need to be a nature expert; all you need to do is take pictures. There will be small prizes for participation.
Cost: FREE – no registration required
Location: Park on Ardleigh St (6060 Ardleigh St, Phila, PA) and meet at the AdventureWoods gate. (Note: parking for this event is not available at the Cope House. Please do not park at 1 Awbury Rd.)
Face masks are required. Limited restroom access is available at this time.

The City Nature Challenge is a global event that calls on citizen scientists of all ages and education backgrounds to observe and submit pictures of wild plants, animals, and fungi using the free mobile app iNaturalist. It is a great opportunity to explore and appreciate all of the nature and wildlife in Philly.
