Growing Stropharia Mushrooms

Grow mushrooms in your garden! Learn about the site conditions, materials needed, and the method for growing Stropharia Mushrooms (Winecaps) at home. At this workshop you will participate in preparing and inoculating a Stropharia mushroom bed in the Awbury Food Forest, and inoculating a spawn bag to take home!
About the instructor: Simone Shimshedini is a Landscape Architect, and an Orchard Coordinator with
the Philadelphia Orchard Project. Simone is interested in the intersection between
people, plants, and mushrooms.
Time: October 5th, 12-2PM/Rain date Saturday, November 2 from 12 – 1pm
