A BioBlitz is an event where people gather to find and count as many kinds of plants and animals in a specific area over a short period of time. Families will become “nature explorers” and team up with scientists and local experts in a 90-minute mini-Bioblitz – a RACE to count as many plants and animals as you can! The end of our race will conclude with an art project and team fun sharing.
Join the Healing Ourselves Outdoors Together (HOOT) Team, led by Temple University and Let’s Go Outdoors, for a mini BioBlitz event starting at The Farm at Awbury. Plan for creative fun, dress for the weather, and wear sneakers. All data collected will contribute to the City Nature Challenge, an international effort to log as many species as possible in one weekend. The first 50 participants will receive a magnifying glass and a bug box.
