MAAAC Opening Reception

Join us in the Cope House Gallery as Awbury partners with The Museum of African American Art Collectors (MAAAC) for their exhibit: Collector’s Life: Inaugural MAAAC Exhibition on Thursday, November 6, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for our opening reception. This milestone event marks the official debut of MAAAC’s first exhibition celebrating the rich legacy and future of African American art collecting.

Guests are invited to explore this inaugural exhibition, meet the visionary collectors whose passion and stewardship have shaped its foundation, and experience an evening of art, culture, and community connection.

Founded to honor and expand the legacy of African American art collectors, MAAAC serves as a vibrant cultural institution dedicated to preserving, educating, and inspiring through the stories of art ownership and legacy building. The opening reception reflects MAAAC’s mission to bring together artists, collectors, scholars, and the public in celebration of creativity and cultural heritage
