CHG Presents: Dave Sweeny

Join us at The Cope House Gallery for an upcoming exhibition from David Sweeny. Sweeny is a self-taught painter based in Germantown, Philadelphia. His art background mainly lies in theater and music, and is known to many as funk/rock performer Johnny Showcase. His approach to painting is an extension of his approach to music, bringing vibrancy of color,  joy and humor to his avian subjects. Swilla is a member of the BPK Art Collective, which works out of The Braid Mill in Germantown. In his short time as a painter, he has been featured in shows at Imperfect Gallery, Attic Brewing Company, Eremita Café and NoName Gallery in Chestnut Hill.
