Earth Day at Awbury Arboretum

Join us at The Farm at Awbury on April 19th from 12pm – 4pm to celebrate Earth Day! We’re having an early Earth Day celebration and inviting our friends, neighbors, and the entire Philadelphia community to come out for a fun day of volunteering, games, live demos and more! Earth Day is a free and open to the public event! So bring your family and friends and join in the fun! See what we’ll be up to for the day below:![]()
12PM
- Volunteer Activity on The Farm: Help us clear vines and multiflora, cut and clear ivy from mature trees and invasive honeysuckle, remove old tree cages from young trees, and more! Contact volunteers@awbury.org to learn more or sign up!
- Join the S(tree)twork Project at the Lighting House to make leaf prints and natural art!
- Stop by the Historic Germantown table and join our wellness coordinator Megan Do Nascimento for a afternoon wellness walk around the arboretum!
- Stop by with the entire family for a yoga session with Heartwell Yoga!
1PM
- Link up with Land Based Jawn for a ‘what’s in your grow back’ activity under the pavilion!
- Stop by and join the Philly Goat Projects down in the picnic grove for some goat games galore!
- Join Fletcher Street Urban Riding club for horse rides around the farm! This is a ticketed event at $10 per ride.
3PM
- Catch a live performance from Ants on a Log at The Lighting House!
We’ll have different vendors around the farm like The Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, Unless Kids, & more! And check in with Awbury’s farmers and farm friends to see whose showing up and showing out!
Earth Day is a rain or shine event! Some come out and help us usher in the sunshine!
