Join Temple University Harrisburg & Let’s Go Outdoors for a mini-BioBlitz during our Big Adventure Day at Awbury Arboretum!

A BioBlitz is is an event where you find and count as many kinds of plants and animals in a specific area over a short period of time.
Temple University Harrisburg and Let’s Go Outdoors will offer free outdoor activities during our Big Adventure Day through our Healing Ourselves Outdoors Together (HOOT) program. Families will become “nature explorers” and team up with scientists and local experts in a 90-minute mini-BioBlitz — a race to count as many plants and animals in the Arboretum! Plus, join us in wildlife activities.

We will work with Temple University scientists to get a snapshot of the biodiversity in our city parks and will provide this data to the parks and to a national network — contributing our work to make a difference for science!  The Philadelphia BioBlitz will also contribute to The City Nature Challenge.
