The Awbury Food Forest (AFF) is a forest garden habitat that provides food and medicinal resources in a sustainable way, using permaculture techniques that can be applied in home gardens. It is managed by an Awbury volunteer stewardship group and supported by the Philadelphia Orchard Project.

Awbury Food Forest Stewards work together every 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday of the month from 9am to 12pm to maintain all aspects of the Food Forest. Volunteers will get their hands dirty engaging in a variety of tasks including but not limited to weeding, fruit tree and berry pruning, path making, sheet mulching and planting. Come volunteer your time and learn about unique gardening techniques, woody and perennial edible and medicinal plants, and their care throughout the season.  Interested in joining and learning about these unique gardening techniques?  Come volunteer your time and learn about unique gardening techniques, woody and perennial edible and medicinal plants, and their care throughout the season.
