SUMMARY:Tree Print + Leaf Collage Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Make tree prints to bring home\, from stumps of local fallen trees. \nAnd Paint/Collage/Stitch with sturdy Uva de Mar leaves! \nAbout the tree prints: We’ll have white craft paper; feel free to bring your own thicker white paper or smooth fabric. The prints make excellent gifts and home decor. The printers’ ink we use is not water-resistant. \nAbout the leaves: Leaves can be amazing catalysts for creativity because they are already so textured and beautiful. Rather than starting with a blank white rectangle\, you’re already in a conversation that you can just respond to. Come paint\, collage\, and craft with hearty\, durable Uva de Mar leaves that Vivian collected from beaches in Costa Rica and Miami\, and see where the conversation leads you. \nThis event is for all ages! \nTickets: $35 (email Vivian Lehrer at vlehrer@gmail.com for tickets!) or $40 at the door! \nCapacity: 45 people \nLocation: Cope House Gallery\, 1 Awbury Rd\, Philadelphia\, PA 19138 \nTime: August 1st\, 5:00pm – 7:00pm

SUMMARY:Winter Tree Identification Hike
DESCRIPTION:Don’t let the cold weather keep you indoors! Join us for a tree identification hike with Grant Folin\, Awbury’s Landscape Manager. \nLearn to look at tree shape\, bark\, buds\, and branching structure to identify a variety of trees on Awbury’s grounds. Leaves are often considered the easiest way to identify trees but as the saying goes\, “leaves can lie. Winter is a great time to build tree identification skills”. \n We will begin in the Cope House where we will discuss terminology and review key identification questions. Then we’ll head outside to put our new skills to the test. We will finish up in the Cope House with time for Q and A. \n \n \n \n \n \n Where: Cope House \nCost: $15\, Register Below \nRaindate: Saturday\, February 25th at 2pm \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Fill out my LGL Form!

He grew up in Mt.Airy and spent a lot of time exploring Wissahickon Valley Park as a kid\, where his interest and love for nature began. As Troy grew\, so did his admiration for nature – wildlife to be more specific. \nNow\, Troy spends most of his free time exploring natural areas around the tri-state area in search of beautiful birds. He specializes in showcasing the beautiful patterns\, texture\, and colors found throughout nature. We often overlook a lot of things that nature has to offer and Troy is on a mission to spark interest in others to go outside and explore the world around them. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Questions?
