DESCRIPTION:July 2nd – August 30th | Mon-Thur 10 AM-4 PM\, Fri-Sun 10 AM-2 PM |The Cope House Gallery\, 1 Awbury Rd\, Philadelphia PA \nJoin us at The Cope House Gallery for an upcoming exhibition from David Sweeny. Sweeny is a self-taught painter based in Germantown\, Philadelphia. His art background mainly lies in theater and music\, and is known to many as funk/rock performer Johnny Showcase. His approach to painting is an extension of his approach to music\, bringing vibrancy of color\,  joy and humor to his avian subjects. Swilla is a member of the BPK Art Collective\, which works out of The Braid Mill in Germantown. In his short time as a painter\, he has been featured in shows at Imperfect Gallery\, Attic Brewing Company\, Eremita Café and NoName Gallery in Chestnut Hill.
