See what we’ll be up to for the day below: \n12PM \n\nVolunteer Activity on The Farm: Help us clear vines and multiflora\, cut and clear ivy from mature trees and invasive honeysuckle\, remove old tree cages from young trees\, and more! Contact volunteers@awbury.org to learn more or sign up!\nJoin the S(tree)twork Project at the Lighting House to make leaf prints and natural art!\nStop by the Historic Germantown table and join our wellness coordinator Megan Do Nascimento for a afternoon wellness walk around the arboretum!\nStop by with the entire family for a yoga session with Heartwell Yoga!\n\n1PM \n\nLink up with Land Based Jawn for a ‘what’s in your grow back’ activity under the pavilion! \nStop by and join the Philly Goat Projects down in the picnic grove for some goat games galore!\nJoin Fletcher Street Urban Riding club for horse rides around the farm! This is a ticketed event at $10 per ride. \n\n3PM \n\nCatch a live performance from Ants on a Log at The Lighting House! \n\nWe’ll have different vendors around the farm like The Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild\, Unless Kids\, & more! DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Herbal Aid! \nThe Many Hands Community Apothecary is a cluster of garden beds located in The Farm at Awbury. During the Herbal Aid Ed course\, students will care and support those garden beds over the 9-month course of study. \nThe program covers an introduction to 40+ plants from a range of cross-cultural traditions. These include the cultivated\, wild\, and native medicines of our Philadelphia bio-region on the ancestral indigenous territory of the Lenni Lenape/Wingohoking. Garden days invites students to get hands-on time in the Many Hands Community Apothecary garden on site at Awbury Arboretum where we will cover various growing methods\, seasonal medicine processing methods including infusions\, decoctions\, tinctures\, salves\, incense\, powders\, and more! \nCome join us in our garden classroom to grow your self-sufficiency and earth connection! \nPrice: $700 for full class series.
