Second Saturdays at Historic Awbury Arboretum – Field Work and Studies

Join us for a rewarding morning of vigorous field work on the grounds of historic Awbury Arboretum.  Denis Lucey, Awbury’s Landscape Director, will choose valuable and interesting projects for a fun and engaging service-learning experience!  Participants are encouraged to participate in Historic Germantown’s Second Saturday afternoons: After a morning of service-learning, bring your family and friends to visit any or all Historic Germantown sites!   – Click here for more information.

This class will be led by Denis Lucey, Landscape Manager, and Leslie Cerf, Volunteer Coordinator at Awbury Arboretum.  Denis Lucey is Landscape Manager at Awbury Arboretum, and owner of Denis Lucey Landscape Design.  A long-time resident of Northwest Philadelphia with over 20 years of professional landscaping experience and a love of history, Denis’ tours of Awbury are always fun, engaging,  and educational.  Leslie Cerf has served as a volunteer and volunteer leader at Awbury Arboretum for over a year, with many years’ previous volunteer leadership experience.  She is currently a student of horticulture in the Pennsylvania Master Gardener Program.
