Join us for an herb gardening workshop. We’ll explore how to successfully propagate and tend to a thriving herb garden with author and organic gardener, Emily Murphy. Learn which herbs to grow from seed and which to grow from cuttings. We’ll also make paper pots for starting your garden, and take a closer look at herbs for cooking, fragrance, and pollinators. Participants will leave with herbs started in class using handmade paper pots.
Emily Murphy is the author of Grow What You Love, 12 Food Plant Families to Change Your Life, featuring 12 sets of seasonal ingredients, garden-to-table recipes, and easy to follow methods for growing your garden, no matter the size. Emily is a an expert organic gardener trained in ethnobotany, environmental science, and garden design. She teaches in school and community gardens, and speaks regularly about her gardening philosophies. She is also a photographer, cook, and creator of the celebrated blog, Pass The Pistil. She lives in Northern California with her family and finds daily inspiration from the simple act of growing.
