Felting Fabulous Flowers! Try your hand at wet felting, the process of using water to combine animal fibers into one piece of fabric. We’ll be using unspun wool to make lovely flowers that can be made into pins, embellishments for other items, or a gift for a friend. The options are endless! Ages 10 and up. Class limited to 10 students, $15, includes material fee. This class will be held at the Francis Cope House.
The class is taught by members of the Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers. PGHW is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the art and craft of weaving and the fiber arts. PGHW is located in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia. Their motto is “We learn by doing and grow by sharing.”
This event is part of Awbury’s ongoing series celebrating Natural Fibers.
