An Afternoon of Dance at Awbury

Join Mt. Airy Movement Collective and Awbury Arboretum in An Afternoon of Dance at Awbury. A diverse collection of dance works created by Christina Castro-Tauser, Loren Groenendaal, Elizabeth Malone, Megan Flynn, and Teresa VanDenend Sorge will be performed by local dance artists exploring human and nature relationships.

Audience members will roam a small area of the Arboretum in and around the Secret Garden / AdventureWoods, viewing each of the five short dance works. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket for viewing and come early with a picnic lunch to enjoy the Secret Garden.  This is a family-friendly event. We welcome young audience members.

Meet at the entrance to the Secret Garden/AdventureWoods at noon to see the performance.

This event is FREE, no registration required. Guests should park on Ardleigh Street between Washington Lane and East Haines Street.  Click here for directions.

This event takes place on a Second Saturday, during which our AdventureWoods natural playground has extended open community hours.  You and your family are welcome to enjoy the playground from 10am-4pm.
